Hi, I'm Taryn—an adventure enthusiast, trail runner, outdoor educator, coffee-before-conversation person, obsessed dog mom, mom to two amazing kids, and someone who believes the best version of yourself shows up a few miles into a hike.

I grew up with a strong desire to travel, but I didn't get to begin my adventures until after college, when I spent four months backpacking through East Africa. That trip changed something in me — I came home knowing I'd never stop chasing this feeling, and I've spent every year since then finding ways to get back out there, whether that meant a weekend trail run, a backcountry trip, or a plane ticket somewhere new.

Based in Colorado, I spend my free time exploring mountain trails, backpacking, camping, and seeking out new adventures close to home and around the globe. Along the way, I discovered that adventure hits differently when you share it with the right people—especially other women figuring out just how capable they really are.

Today, I bring that experience to Three Horizons Adventures, where I get to create thoughtfully designed journeys that inspire confidence, foster connection, and encourage women to step beyond their comfort zones. There's nothing quite like watching someone push past what they thought their limit was—whether that's a first big summit, a tough mile, or simply saying yes to a trip on their own—and my goal is to help every woman on the trip leave feeling a little stronger and a lot more connected than when she arrived.

Hi, I'm Amelia—a former public school dance teacher, photographer, mom, sunset lover, corner brownie stealer and traveler.

For 10 years, I had the privilege of teaching dance in public schools, helping students build confidence, creativity, and connection through movement. While teaching will always be my first love, travel has become my second.

My family and I spent six incredible years living in England, using every school holiday and long weekend to explore the world. Along the way, we visited 75 countries, discovering that the best trips aren't just about checking places off a list—they're about the people you meet, the perspectives you gain, and how travel can change you.

Today, I combine my love of teaching, adventure, and photography as a trip leader with Three Horizons Adventures. I love creating journeys that help people step outside their comfort zones, experience authentic cultures, and build genuine friendships along the way. Whether we're hiking through the Alps, learning to cook with locals, cold plunging at midnight, or watching the sunrise from a mountain summit, my goal is to create trips that leave you feeling inspired, connected, and a little more adventurous than when you arrived.

When I'm not leading trips, you'll find me exploring New England with my husband and daughter, camera in hand, always planning the next adventure.
